What is Type 2 diabetes?
The carbohydrates in the food are broken down by digestive system into blood sugar glucose.These glucose are transferred by insulin hormone( secreted by pancreas) from blood vessels into the body cells so that they can be used as energy.
If a kid has type 2 diabetes, the cells in the kid's body are resistant to the insulin effects and the amount of glucose increases in the blood and reaches a dangerous level in the child’s body.In a short period body becomes less able to control the level of glucose in blood vessels. The high sugar level in blood can lead to kidney failure, heart disease and in some cases blindness.
